I'm honored to be invited to Japan Travel Fair 2016 at 1Utama by a friend of mine, Ash and was given an opportunity to write about wonderful Yokohama!
I was introduced to many interesting places such as Shin Yokohama Ramen Museum and Hakkeijima Sea Paradise -you can read about them at Minori's blog HERE. But I decided to focus on something else because I'm all about being a princess, so I've picked out a few cutesy artsy unicorn fartsy places and activities that you can enjoy. I'll be starting with cute so here we go!

Yokohama is popular for its Chinatown, which means that the place is flocked with adorable panda goodies! So this is your chance to carry home your very own Panda-kun from a souvenir shop and give your taste buds a treat with a panda crepe.
If you missed Sanrio's laid back golden retriever in Harajuku. Don't worry! There is another PomPomPurin Cafe in Yokohama. The interior and food are absolutely adorable! Before you know it you'll be fan of this little puppy and will soon realize Sanrio is very very evil. Mayday! Hide your wallets! NOW!
The next cute candidate is Anpaman! Our red bean bun hero♥. Although Anpanman Museum and Mall caters mainly to children due to the attractions, we "bigger children" can enjoy the cute character exhibits and mall that carries a wide variety of merchandise. If Anpanman is your childhood superhero or you want to feel like a fresh little cupcake again this will be worth a stop.
Now, for something in between cutesy and artsy is Yokohama Doll Museum. Established in June 1986, its the home of thousands of dolls from all around the world and Japan. You can learn about the histories and stories behind them as far back as the war times untill today. There is also a collection of Blythes (for those of you who are interested).
The Way of Tea is an essential part of Japanese culture. Royal Park Hotel offers a tea ceremony experience in the sky! At 256m above ground you'll find yourself enjoying a cup of tea with by a breathtaking view on the 65th floor.
Finally, the ancient art of Noh. It is a form of classic drama and is considered as the world's oldest performing arts. Fortunately, this traditional art is still being performed at Yokohama Noh Theater. You may have seen it being featured in movies or anime and have always wanted to watch it. However, I've been warned that it's extremely boring! It's normally a 2 hour long show with minimal movements and dialogues almost like a silent film -definitely artsy.
That's the end of my little guide. I hope it gives you a better idea on Yokohama. For an omake, here's a picture of me in a Hakama at the fair. I failed to turn off the auto makeup function on my beauty app so both me and the guy got painted with red lipstick. I think I pulled off the look better, I feel so sorry for him!
Once again, I would like thank Ash for this wonderful experience and Ikeda-San and Haruki-San for the hospitality. (❁´▽`❁)*✲゚*
